Wise is one who before looking for a wife does not rush, but instead believes in what was said by our Lord Jesus Christ: “But seek first his kingdom and righteousness, listen carefully, first his kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well and you will have a suitable helper” (Mt. 6:33, NIV).

We are in the times of the end. Let us remember the deeds of God when evil reached its limits, and He destroyed during the great flood those who disparaged him. But God saved Noah, a just man along with his family. The heavens and Earth that now exist are saved for the fire, let us read: “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare… what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives…”(2 Pt 3:10-11).

In order to succeed, we need women capable of educating their children at home. For this it says: grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. How can a child do it if he does not know how to read nor write? With God everything is possible… In the world, learning comes through eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which was the tree that God forbade Adam to not eat. Education is greatly valued since people hope that through better-educated masses the economy will improve.

Because of the impact it can have on the economy, state budgets intervene in order to cover elementary, middle, high school, and sometimes even university education. Aside from the governmental education there are private schools with the same goal of teaching someone, who will later go on and solve world hunger or health discrepancies. Unfortunately we see that every year there is growing poverty, corruption, injustice, violence, to the point where jails are not enough. Hospitals are not completely competent, and to this we add pollution of air, lakes, rivers, etc.

But what of the soul?

We know that this world ends: “But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.” (Vs. 13). For the hope of this promise the word reminds us to “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” (Pro 22:6). It is imperative that you value your mother, grandmother, especially if they know and love God because they will teach at home with their example, conduct, and character how to love and serve God, how to love our neighbor.

Faith is disappearing because when we leave to study things of the world, there is no spirit, and we lose our confidence in God, let us read: “See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright – but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness” (Hab 2:4). Faith is lived at home if it lives in the women, and it is showed outside of the home as a result of the love that God gives us to give to those who need it.

Men and women with the science that deceives, love themselves. Let us read: “People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents… not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God…” (2 Tim 3:2-4).

Paul hopes for us to be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all knowledge and wisdom, bringing fruits in all good deeds; growing in the knowledge of God. God asks for us to study the Scriptures diligently to secure eternal life. Solomon says: “Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold” (Pr. 3:13). God calls us, his sons to serve the needy and if we obey he says “… Come, you who are blessed by my father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you…” (Mt 25:34). And those who do not serve the needy: “…Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels” (Vs 41).  Let us remember that in order to serve God we must die to the world. To the teachings that need to happen at home we have the example of Elkanah and Hanna. From them was born a prophet and priest of Israel. Hanna testifies that God heard her prayer and granted her to have a son. After Samuel was weaned she took him to the temple in order to serve God. Hanna, in her song of gratitude said: “my heart rejoices in the Lord, there is no one holy like the Lord, there is no Rock like our God. The Lord sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts.” Samuel was a great prophet and he led Israel, and it all began with the humility of a woman who prayed with faith and gave those teachings to her son, with her conduct and character filled of love to God and her neighbor (read 1st Samuel 1 and 2). Brothers, Hanna’s God is our God, and he hopes that we love him in the same faith as Hannah’s. May God bless you.
